ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Western University, formerly known as Niwattana University, was officially established under Private Higher Education Institution License No. 2/2540, issued by the Minister of Education (Minister of University Affairs) on June 18, 1997. This private higher education institution was founded in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's royal decree to confer the noble title of "Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, Princess of Naradhiwas," upon Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, his sister.
The university's primary goal is to support growth in the central region and to extend educational opportunities to other regions of the country, contributing to the development of the nation's human resources. The university's four main missions are:
Producing graduates who are academically excellent and possess high-level professional skills.
Conducting research to generate new knowledge and meet societal needs.
Providing academic services to the community in various forms to help develop local and national communities.
Preserving and promoting art and culture to maintain the nation's cultural heritage.
The university aims to contribute to the development of human resources who are not only skilled professionals but also possess strong moral and ethical values, thus fulfilling the nation’s need for excellence in higher education and human resource development.
