About University

Fatoni University (FTU), located in Yaring District, Pattani Province, Thailand, is a private Islamic institution founded to serve the Muslim community, particularly in the southern region. Originally established as Yala Islamic College in 1994, it was later renamed to reflect its broader mission of integrating Islamic principles with modern education.

FTU offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs across faculties such as Islamic Studies, Education, Business Administration, and Humanities. The university emphasizes strong moral values, academic excellence, and community development, while fostering intercultural dialogue. It plays a vital role in promoting education within the Muslim community and maintains partnerships with international Islamic institutions.

Established in 1998 and officially recognized by the Thai Ministry of Education in 2004, Fatoni University (FTU) was founded to address educational gaps for the Malay-Muslim community in Thailand’s southern provinces. Located in Pattani, FTU emerged as a beacon of Islamic and modern education, aiming to foster regional development and intercultural harmony in the conflict-affected Deep South.

Vision

FTU aspires to be a leading Islamic university in Southeast Asia, integrating faith, knowledge, and ethical values to drive sustainable progress and multicultural coexistence.

Mission

The university is committed to delivering bilingual (Thai-Malay-Arabic) education, advancing research in Islamic sciences and local development, and empowering communities through grassroots engagement.
