“Kantana Institute” was established to continue the firm determination of Mr. Pradit Kalayajareuk, the founder of Kantana Group Public Company Limited, a leading entertainment industry group in the country, who wanted to establish an institute to produce entertainment media professionals who are full of knowledge, expertise and professional ideology for the entertainment industry because he believed that “knowledge will lift artists to a higher level”.

Kantana Institute is a private higher education institution specialized in entertainment media production and management. The first bachelor’s degree program opened in the 2010 academic year was the Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and Animation Production. In the 2011 academic year, it proposed to add a branch in Television Program Production for Cross-Media Communication to the revised curriculum in 2012, aiming to draw out the potential of Thais in specific fields to create assets from creativity, leading to economic growth and development, creating a high-level workforce to support the growth of the industry, and to elevate the Thai mass communication profession to a standard that is accepted internationally.
