ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Thammasat English Programme of Engineering (TEPE) is an engineering programme that allows students to study at the Thammasat University Rangsit campus for four years. TEPE provides students with numerous opportunities, including scholarships and overseas exchange programmes. The programme is designed with a vision emphasising the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge and offers four different study programmes to meet future growth needs. English is the language used for instruction and communication throughout the programme.

The TEPE course is a four-year program in which students study the disciplines outlined in the curriculum framework for 3.5 years. In the final semester of the fourth year, students can choose from one of three study plans: the research track, exchange track, or the long-term internship track.

  1. The Research Track allows students to work on a project or conduct research.
  2. The Exchange Track allows students to study abroad at a partner university.
  3. The Long-term internship Track allows students to participate in a semester-long internship with a Thai or international establishment or institute.

Thammasat University (TU) is the second oldest university in Thailand, teaching more than 33,000 students and employing more than 2,700 academic staff. Inaugurated in 1934 with social science and humanities to serve society’s thirst for modern knowledge, it is known as “the university for the people” and has since expanded its remit to include science, technology, and health.

Thammasat places an emphasis on sustainability by teaching the humanities, social sciences and STEM subjects in an environment that aims to create a “smart university”. This goal is being reached by introducing energy saving and renewable measures on campus, and by creating and implementing new technology that is environmentally friendly.

As Thailand shifts its political agendas towards meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Thammasat University has become central to coordinating research and policy while helping to prioritise the country’s social mobility.

Thammasat is the first university in Thailand who has received an award on “Cultural Change for Sustainability” for its campaign to reduce single-use plastics from the International Sustainability Campus Network (ISCN) during the 2020 ISCN Awards Ceremony on 14th May, 2020. Thammasat is leading by example in setting its own targets to become a fully sustainable “smart university”.

Thammasat University, by Faculty of Economics, is also a co-host of Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Thailand (SDSN Thailand) from March 2020 until February 2022.
