With a sense of gratitude towards the land, which has been beneficial to the family of Mr. Poem and Mrs. La-ong Rungruang, leading to progress and success in life and work for many generations in the Bangna area, a suburban district to the southeast of Bangkok, combined with the recognition of the value of high-quality education that the Thai people should receive to foster sustainable development for the nation and humanity, Southeast Bangkok University was established. It is led by Professor Emeritus Dr. Voraphat Tothanakesem as the University Council Chairman and Dr. Somsak Rungruang as the President, with a steadfast commitment to developing students with the potential to reach an international level.


Southeast Bangkok University’s programs are designed to produce graduates with four desired characteristics, which are:
