ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Studying law at Thomas Aquinas School of Law Assumption University will not only provide you the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor, barrister, public prosecutor, or judge, it will also help you develop a diverse set of skills and sciences which you will be able to apply in many different fields such as business entrepreneur, business organization staff, international organization staff, legal advisor, practice lawyer, state officer, academic scholar, politician, investor, legal interpreter, freelance worker, etc.
Students will be inculcated and enhanced to be qualified with 6 major desired characteristics through the graduate production process which are 1) Moral and ethics of the legal profession, 2) Knowledgeable in general law, business law, and business context, 3) Proficient in English, 4) Having the legal analytical skill, problem-solving, and self-development planning, 5) Having interpersonal skills, leadership, and democratic spirit, and 6) Having IT skills for communication, work, and life.
There are 3 learning options at our law school: Option I, Lawyer-Entrepreneur, Option II, Professional Lawyer in the Judicial Process, and Option III, General Business Lawyer. Once students have already completed their core courses of 81 credits, they will have opportunities to choose which branches of major elective courses they prefer to specialize in. Preferably for Option I & II, there are 4 groups of courses reserved for those who are interested to choose in order to uplift their competencies.

Assumption University originated from Assumption Commercial College in 1969 as Assumption School of Business. In 1972, it became "Assumption Business Administration College" (ABAC) with approval from the Ministry of Education. It was accredited in 1975 and granted university status in 1990.
It is a non-profit institution administered by the Brothers of St. Gabriel, a Catholic religious order founded in France in 1705. The congregation has run educational institutions in Thailand since 1901. Assumption University is an international community of scholars, enlivened by Christian inspiration, pursuing truth and knowledge through interdisciplinary approaches and cybertechnology.
