ADMISSIONS PROCESS
Pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution by Malaysian Nursing Board with minimum 2 years clinical working experience (Credit Transfer Allowed)
For International Students
Either one (1) of this following below:
• Pass (STPM) or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.5 ;
• Pass ‘A’ Level minimum Grade C in three other subjects
• Pass Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5
• Pass any Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.5 (No Credit Transfer) equivalent MQF level 4
• Pass Diploma in Nursing and registered with Nursing Council of the or origin
• Minimum two (2) years clinical experience (Credit transfer allowed)
• Possess Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC) for nurses from Malaysian Nursing Board AND
• All candidate who possess STPM, ‘A’ Level Foundation and pass any Diploma except Diploma in Nursing MUST posses :
• Either one (1) of the credit below (minimum Grade C):
• General Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science at SPM or its equivalent
AND
• Credit in Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern) at SPM or its equivalen
AND
• IELTS with a minimum of 5.5/ TOEFL with a minimum of 5.5/ TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80
• Cambridge English Advanced (CAE), Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE), Pearson Test of English (PTE)
- Passport size photo with white background (4cm X 5.5cm) in .jpeg format
- Certified true copies of all academic transcripts / certificates by Ministry of Education or previous schools (scan copy)
- Scan copy of your passport – all pages including the blank pages in color. Your passport must have a validity period of at least 12 months.

How to obtain student visa to study in Malaysia?

City University Malaysia will apply for student visa on your behalf via Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). Student is required to submit all the documents & visa application payment to university. Process takes at least 4 to 6 weeks.

City U offers 3 enrolment dates per year – January & May, September. Students are advised to start their enrolment process at least 6 to 3 months prior to intake to avoid late registration.

International students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during study semester & 40 hours per week during semester break. Please note that students are required to obtain immigration permission for part-time work.

Students can apply for jobs in Malaysia and attend a number of interviews, our friendly lecturers and professors can support your application with recommendation letters, and if you are one of the talented students with demanded skills and good study achievements, that chance is there! However, your future employer has to apply for a work permit with the authorities and guide you through the work permit regulations of Malaysia!
