The M.Tech in Information Security and Cyber Forensics is a comprehensive two-year full-time postgraduate program designed to equip students with advanced skills in securing digital assets and investigating cybercrimes. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, there is a growing demand for professionals who can safeguard critical infrastructures and analyze digital evidence. This program blends theoretical knowledge with practical experience to prepare graduates for careers in cybersecurity and digital forensics.

Students will gain an in-depth understanding of cryptographic techniques, secure network protocols, and threat detection methods, allowing them to design, implement, and manage robust security systems. The curriculum provides hands-on training in digital forensics, including the acquisition, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence in legal contexts, and emphasizes the use of cutting-edge forensic tools and methodologies. The program also addresses the legal and ethical frameworks surrounding information security and cyber forensics, covering national and international regulations and ethical considerations.

In addition to core coursework, students will explore advanced topics such as malware analysis, cybersecurity risk management, cloud security, and big data analytics. They will have opportunities to engage with elective courses in areas like IoT security, blockchain and cryptocurrency security, and mobile and wireless security. The program culminates in a capstone project where students apply their knowledge to solve real-world challenges, often in collaboration with industry partners or research institutions.

Entry Requirements:

(1) Bachelor degree in business and management-related fields as accepted by the Krirk University Senate; or

(2) English language competency requirements for students: Minimum IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

(3) Complete an entrance exam and sit for an admission interview to be accepted to a master degree program.

Proof of English Language Proficiency:

Students should have completed an undergraduate degree and either have passed an English language test (IELTS, TOEFL, British Council) at the required level or have studied at secondary or tertiary level in English, in which case the requirement is waived.

Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for a range of high-demand roles, including Information Security Analyst, Cyber Forensic Investigator, Penetration Tester, Security Consultant, Incident Response Specialist, and Cybersecurity Researcher.
