Krirk University is one of the most highly-reputed universities in Thailand and was founded in 1952 by Dr. Krirk Mangkhlaphrik. It has been promoting higher education since 1970 and was upgraded to university status in 1995. We have two important colleges i.e., the International College and the Political Communication College, which are known for having English and Chinese language teaching.
Krirk University has been actively involved in society to enhance students’ social skills, sense of social responsibility and their contributions to human society. Many faculty members of Krirk University have contributed to the public and private sectors. For example, some researchers have helped surrounding communities to solve social problems, and some lecturers have taken important roles in many organizations.
The Alumni of Krirk University have made distinguished contributions in the political, social and education spheres. We have our Alumni such as Dr. Chalermchai Sreeon, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Dr. Kanokwan Vilawan, Deputy Minister of Education; Dr.Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Secretary to the Minister of Office of the Prime Minister; Mr. Sira Jenjaka, Member of Parliament of Bangkok and Mr. Mario Maurer, actor.
To promote education with social change, Krirk University has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with a number of education institutions in Thailand as well as China.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS
Entry Requirements:
(1) Master’s degree in business and management-related fields as accepted by the Krirk University Senate; or
(2) Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree as accepted by the Krirk University Senate.
(3) English language competency requirements for students: Minimum IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
(4) Complete an entrance exam and sit for an admission interview to be accepted to a doctoral degree program.
Condition Offer:
Doctoral students cannot meet IELTS 6.0, and these students must take the Academic English Writing course in the initial semester as the condition offers. IF they cannot meet the IELTS 5.5 requirements, these students must take the Intensive English Program (IEP) program at Krirk University.

I want to study but I am not sure I can afford it. Does Krirk University provide student loans?
Answer :
Krirk University provides student loans through the assistance of two government agencies: 1. SLF (Student Loan Fund) 2. ICL (Income Contingent Loan) To be eligible, students should have Thai nationality, not be over 30 years old, have never worked before and with a family household income of not more than 200,000 baht per year. .

Does Krirk University offer any scholarships?
Answer :
Krirk University offers two types of scholarship: 1. Scholarship for outstanding Krirk University students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher 2. Athletics Fund for Football (men) and Basketball (men)

I graduated with a Vocational Certificate, can I continue studying at Krirk University?
Answer :
Yes, students who have graduated from high school are able to transfer credits to study at Krirk University, especially in fields where the length of study is similar and they can complete a bachelor's degree within one and a half years.

I am finishing Secondary 6 and I would like to study on Saturdays and Sundays because I need to work during the week. Does Krirk University offer classes at weekends?
Answer :
Full-time students can choose to study a special project on either a Saturday or a Sunday. Krirk University provides teaching and learning at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels and so we teach every day.

I would like to apply to enroll. What should I prepare?
Answer :
When applying to study at Krirk University, students submit three documents and three sets of each one: 1) Copy of house registration document 2) Copy of ID card 3) Education qualification certificate 4) 1 inch color photograph If you have any work experience, please prepare evidence of this because Krirk University offers credit transfer from work experience.

Studying at Krirk University is not difficult. Students are requested to follow the regulations of the University and to complete the requirements of each course in a timely manner. Students who do this are able to graduate without difficulty at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

I live outside Bangkok. Does the university have dormitories?
Answer :
For students from outside Bangkok, Krirk University offers free dormitory accommodation for first year students who are domiciled in other provinces. Dormitories house 2-3 people per room and are furnished with comfortable facilities.
