The Master of Science Program in Forensic Science (Revised Curriculum 2022) aims to produce graduates with in-depth knowledge and understanding of principles and theories in the field of forensic science and can apply their knowledge to examine evidence, have the ability to conduct research to create new knowledge that has an impact on forensic science work, are able to work with others, have morality, ethics, and academic and professional ethics.
2. Objectives
The Master of Science Program in Forensic Science (Revised Curriculum 2022) aims to produce graduates with the following qualifications:
(1) in-depth knowledge and understanding of principles and theories in the field of forensic science;
(2) able to apply knowledge to examine physical evidence;
(3) able to conduct research to create new knowledge that has an impact on forensic science work;
(4) able to work with others;
(5) having morality, ethics, and academic and professional ethics.

Qualifications of applicants
(1) Comply with the Ministry of Education’s announcement on the criteria for graduate-level programs in 2015
(2) Comply with the Khon Kaen University’s announcement on graduate-level studies in 2016
(3) Have completed a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent or a Graduate Diploma in Science
(4) The study plan of the forensic science program is Plan A, which is a research-based study plan with a thesis.
(4.1) Plan A, Type A1, eligible applicants must have the following qualifications:
(4.1.1) Eligible applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent or a Graduate Diploma in Science or a Graduate Degree in a related field with a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.25 or have experience in research and have published research internationally or domestically at least 1 topic
(4.1.2) Consideration of equivalency in other fields of study is at the discretion of the curriculum management committee.
(4.1.3) Those who do not have the qualifications mentioned above may be considered for admission. This depends on the discretion of the program selection committee and/or the program administration committee of the Master of Science in Forensic Science.
(4.2) Plan A, Type A 2 Applicants must have the following qualifications:
(4.2.1) Applicants must have completed or are expected to complete a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent, or a Graduate Diploma in Science, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a GPA of at least 2.50.
(4.2.2) Consideration of equivalency of other fields of study is at the discretion of the program administration committee.
(4.2.3) Applicants who do not have the qualifications mentioned above may be considered for admission, depending on the discretion of the program selection committee and/or the program administration committee of the Master of Science in Forensic Science.
(4.3) Plan B Applicants must have the following qualifications:
(4.3.1) Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field. However, the program administration committee can allow eligible applicants to register for other basic courses in addition to the specified curriculum without counting credits.

Students who have been granted a Non Immigration Visa for a temporary stay in Thailand and intend to stay longer than 90 days must report every 90 days at Khon Kaen immigration in person.
Question :
I left Thailand for a week to visit my family and return on 28th April 2019, my friend said I have to report the immigration in person within 48 hrs, right?
Answer :
Yes, students have to report within 48 hrs. after returning to Thailand at the immigration in person to maintain their notification of residence.
Question :
If I miss the report after returning to Thailand within 48 hrs., what will happen to me?
Answer :
The record information of your residence will be shown as the address you made the first 90-day report at the immigration. For example, you graduated from University A in Bangkok and moved to Khon Kaen for studying doctoral Degree. The first notification of a 90-day report made in Bangkok so the recorded residence information is in Bangkok. You visited hometown and missed the 48-hr. report after returning to Thailand. When you make the 90-day report at KK immigration, the information of your residence is in Bangkok. Therefore, you have to pay for the fine. In case your first notification of a 90-day report made in Khon Kaen, there is no problem.
