ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The master program in DS&AI was designed in partnership with the ERASMUS+ DS&AI consortium, a group of 14 European and Asian universities and companies, with the mission of bringing European-standard of advanced DS&AI education to Asia. The program is an intensive full-time international master degree program aiming to give graduate students a strong base in the computational and mathematical foundations of data science and artificial intelligence as well as to give many opportunities to explore and specialize in various application areas together with industrial partners. Apply now to get ahead of the market trend and to equip yourself with one of the most disruptive and productive technologies.


In a few years, DS&AI will become a part of every aspect of human endeavor and will transform the way we live and work. In a long run, DS&AI will likely emerge as one of the most disruptive and productive technologies humankind has ever seen. In order to help Thailand prepares for the big changes, ERASMUS+ DS&AI consortium from European and Asian partners develop a master's program in DS&AI that is truly national in scope. The master program in DS&AI is an intensive full-time master degree program aiming to give graduate students a strong base in the computational and mathematical foundations of data science and artificial intelligence as well as to give many opportunities to explore and specialize in various application areas together with industrial partners. Master's curriculum in DS&AI will be launched on July 2020 and it is supported by Erasmus+.


The KKU master program's in DS&AI was designed in partnership with the ERASMUS+ DS&AI consortium, a group of 14 European and Asian universities and companies with the mission of bringing European-standard advanced education to Asia. The project strengthens European cooperation in transdisciplinary education and internationalization, which will bring the strong scientific knowledge in DS&AI to the higher education systems.


Students and their supervisors are encourage to collaborate with industrial partners for the internship and the research work. They may continue their work during the internship to their research topic/thesis upon agreements. Therefore. we recommend students to start applying for an internship on the second semester of their first year and start their internship period during the Summer break. For students without any working experience in DS&AI, they must conduct at least 200 hours of internship.

For those who have experience working in DS&AI or other related fields can request to claim their work experiences for a certain number of hours of internship. This must be approved by the program administration and development committee.

I am KKU student and get Non-ED Visa for a year, do I have to make the notification of staying in Thailand over 90 days?

Answer :

Students who have been granted a Non Immigration Visa for a temporary stay in Thailand and intend to stay longer than 90 days must report every 90 days at Khon Kaen immigration in person.

Question :

I left Thailand for a week to visit my family and return on 28th April 2019, my friend said I have to report the immigration in person within 48 hrs, right?

Answer :

Yes, students have to report within 48 hrs. after returning to Thailand at the immigration in person to maintain their notification of residence.

Question :

If I miss the report after returning to Thailand within 48 hrs., what will happen to me?

Answer :

The record information of your residence will be shown as the address you made the first 90-day report at the immigration. For example, you graduated from University A in Bangkok and moved to Khon Kaen for studying doctoral Degree. The first notification of a 90-day report made in Bangkok so the recorded residence information is in Bangkok. You visited hometown and missed the 48-hr. report after returning to Thailand. When you make the 90-day report at KK immigration, the information of your residence is in Bangkok. Therefore, you have to pay for the fine. In case your first notification of a 90-day report made in Khon Kaen, there is no problem.

If I travel to another province in Thailand, do I have to report at the immigration?

Answer :

No, the landlord or house owner (hotel or house you are staying with during your traveling) will report immigration.

What are the tuition fees and living expenses?
