ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Established in 2009, the International Master of Education Program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is a two-year program offered by Chula's Faculty of Education and open to both Thai and international students. During a decade of our extensive experience, we have produced a great number of graduates who have become key persons in English language teaching in Thailand. Also, our teachers and students have collaboratively produced countless quality theses to further develop the program and provide more opportunities for students to exchange knowledge in the international academic atmosphere. At TEFL, we aim to produce graduates with knowledge and competence in TEFL curriculum development and instructional management. Our graduates will be able to integrate knowledge in linguistics, instruction, and research and innovations in designing and improving the instruction effectively. They will also be able to use English effectively with an awareness of cultural diversity when working in multicultural societies in Thailand and abroad. Moreover, our research and development of new knowledge have contributed to the methodology of English instruction, the development of English learners, and the improvement of instructional models and methods to be suitable for the learners and instructional contexts.
