ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

MAIDS is a unique program in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region and was established in 2003 by the Center for Social Development Studies (CSDS). The Program and the Center are both housed in the Faculty of Political Science. We are the first graduate program in Thailand offering MA & PhD in International Development Studies.The MAIDS-GRID Program, located in Thailand, is geographically central within ASEAN and Asia and leverages access to local, regional, and global organizations based in Bangkok and beyond.

Qualifications for Admission:

1. Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferably in social sciences).

2. Minimum GPAX:

• MA 1-year program: 3.00 (4.0 scale)

• MA Double Degree Program: 3.30 (4.0 scale)

3. English Proficiency:

• For Non-Native English Speakers:

• IELTS: 6.0 (MA 1-year), 7.0 (Double Degree) with no sub-score below 6.5

• TOEFL: iBT 78 (MA 1-year), iBT 95 (Double Degree) with no sub-score below 22

• CU-TEP: 75 (MA 1-year program)

• Exemptions available as per university regulations.

4. Two recommendation letters (one must be academic).
