ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Chulalongkorn University fully recognizes the great demand for the bachelor's degree curriculum in nutrition and dietetics in Thailand. Now, the faculty offers an intensive master's degree program in food and nutrition for professionals and scientists. It is the first graduate program in food and nutrition taught entirely in English in Thailand.

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) program offers opportunities to deepen knowledge and understanding of the food and nutrition field through research in three fields of study:


Medical Nutrition Therapy

Nutritional Biochemistry

Applied Food and Nutrition

Our curriculum focuses on producing graduates who are knowledgeable in integrated nutritional sciences with an application of modern technology in the scientific analysis and research to apply the know-how in everyday life as well as promote accurate knowledge in food and nutrition to benefit the society and the country as a whole. Our graduates are also taught morals and ethics in conducting themselves as conscientious professionals.

Qualifications of Applicants

Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the fields that have foundation courses in health science and biology from the educational institutions accredited by the Office of the Civil Service Commission and the Program Committee considers applicants to be eligible for admission;

Meet Chula's English Proficiency requirements;

Other qualifications according to the Graduate School's annual announcement or those deemed eligible for admission by the Program Administrative Committee.

Possible Career Pathway

Upon completion of the master's degree in food and nutrition, graduates will be qualified to work as clinical nutritionists, nutrition counselors, directors of food and nutrition, nutrition and family health coordinators, product specialist, research scientist, and more.
