ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

The Bachelor of Arts Program in Politics and Global Studies (PGS) is an international program offered by the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with the University of Essex, United Kingdom, and University of Queensland in Australia. Students studying in this program will be awarded Double Degrees, one from Chulalongkorn University, and another from one of our partner institutions. The program was officially launched in late 2019 for 2020 entry.PGS is a multidisciplinary and multi-sited educational program designed to prepare and equip young generation to become world committed population and change-makers. Our multidisciplinary approach exposes students to diverse ways of thinking, researching, and understanding global politics and social complexities. Beyond providing information and skills, PGS is focused on developing inspiration through an enjoyable and personalized learning environment.


The tripartite motto: Knowledge , Inspiration and Commitment well reflects our philosophy, aim and approach to education. We hope to build up a generation of committed leaders ready to design and create their own sustainable future.

1. Application Requirements

1.1 Applicants must:

• Not hold Thai citizenship.

• Have completed high school or be in their final year of high school (e.g., Grade 12 in the US system or Year 13 in the British/IB system).

• Achieve a minimum GPAX of 3.00 or equivalent qualifications.


1.2 English Proficiency Requirement (Choose one test):

• TOEFL iBT: Total score not lower than 87

• Listening: ≥ 19

• Reading: ≥ 19

• Speaking: ≥ 20

• Writing: ≥ 21

• IELTS: Overall score not lower than 6.5, with each section at least 6.0


1.3 Mathematics Proficiency Requirement (Choose one test):

• SAT:

• Composite (with Math): ≥ 1200

• CU-AAT:

1.4 All test scores must be taken within 2 years before the application deadline.
