The Master of Science Program in Industrial Biotechnology (International Program) is designed to develop highly qualified graduates recognized for their expertise, academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and ethical judgment. Graduates of this program will be equipped to conduct advanced research in industrial biotechnology that contributes to community development and innovation.
The program emphasizes both the principles and theories of industrial biotechnology, as well as the practical applications of biotechnology techniques. Students will learn to address bio-industrial challenges, develop solutions, and explore a wide range of problems and applications within the field. This comprehensive approach ensures graduates are prepared to make meaningful contributions to the biotechnology industry.
The program offers two plans:
Plan A1 (Research Focus)
Eligibility: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.25.
Structure:
Conduct research equivalent to 36 credits.
Participate in two required graduate seminars (non-credit).
Plan A2 (Research and Coursework Focus)
Eligibility: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, or related Science fields with a GPA of at least 2.75.
Structure:
Complete 21 credits of required and elective coursework.
Conduct research equivalent to 15 credits.

Admission Requirements
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic credentials with the following minimum grade-point average (GPA):
Plan A1: GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.00 scale).
Plan A2: GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.00 scale).
English Language Proficiency
Applicants whose native language is not English, or whose undergraduate instruction was not in English, must submit a valid English proficiency test score (no older than two years from the admission term). Accepted tests and minimum scores:
TOEFL (Paper-based): 475
TOEFL (Computer-based): 152
TOEFL (Internet-based): 52
IELTS: 5.0
Applicants who do not meet these criteria must take the KKU English Proficiency Test and consult the Executive Graduate Program Committee.
Letters of Recommendation
Two (2) signed letters of recommendation from referees, including their contact details.
Official Transcripts
Original or Certified True Copies of all academic records.
Foreign documents must include an English translation by an approved foreign credential evaluation service.
Degree Certificate
A copy of the degree certificate in English.
Statement of Purpose
A one-page personal statement explaining your reasons for applying and how this degree aligns with your goals.
