Qualifications of Applicants

Curriculum Plan A Type A1


Applicants must meet the following qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a Related Field:

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25.

Alternatively, must have completed at least 12 credits in Chemistry or related subjects with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher in those subjects.

Must demonstrate sufficient potential to conduct a thesis, subject to the discretion of the program coordinator for the Master of Science in Chemistry.


Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a Related Field:

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.

Admission is subject to the discretion of the program coordinator for the Master of Science in Chemistry.


Curriculum Plan A Type A2


Applicants must meet the following qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry:

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, or

Must have at least 1 year of work experience in the field of Chemistry.


Other Applicants:

Those who do not meet the above criteria may still be considered for admission at the discretion of the Department's selection committee or the program coordinator for the Master of Science in Chemistry.
