2. Applicant Qualifications


General Requirements:

Must comply with Khon Kaen University Regulations on Graduate Studies 2016, Section 5, Article 21.2, or any newly revised regulations.


Specific Requirements for Each Plan:


Plan A, Type A1:

Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Biological Science and Biotechnology, or other related fields, such as Education, with sufficient academic background.

Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00.

Alternatively, applicants may qualify if they have published work at the national level, have at least 2 years of research experience, or as determined by the discretion of the Curriculum Management Committee.


Plan A, Type A2:

Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Science, Biotechnology, or other related fields, such as Education, with sufficient academic background.

Cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.

Admission may also be granted at the discretion of the Curriculum Management Committee.


English Language Proficiency:

Applicants must have valid English language test results from within the past 2 years, meeting the following minimum scores:

TOEFL (Paper-Based): 470

TOEFL (Computer-Based): 150

TOEFL (Internet-Based): 52

TOEFL (Institutional Testing Program): 470

IELTS (Academic Module): 5.0

TU-GET: 500 (out of 1000)

CU-TEP: 65 (out of 120)

Other equivalent English proficiency tests may be accepted at the discretion of the Curriculum Management Committee.
