“Kantana Institute” was established to continue the firm determination of Mr. Pradit Kalayajareuk, the founder of Kantana Group Public Company Limited, a leading entertainment industry group in the country, who wanted to establish an institute to produce entertainment media professionals who are full of knowledge, expertise and professional ideology for the entertainment industry because he believed that “knowledge will lift artists to a higher level”.

Kantana Institute is a private higher education institution specialized in entertainment media production and management. The first bachelor’s degree program opened in the 2010 academic year was the Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and Animation Production. In the 2011 academic year, it proposed to add a branch in Television Program Production for Cross-Media Communication to the revised curriculum in 2012, aiming to draw out the potential of Thais in specific fields to create assets from creativity, leading to economic growth and development, creating a high-level workforce to support the growth of the industry, and to elevate the Thai mass communication profession to a standard that is accepted internationally.

Kantana Institute will be an institute of higher education in the field of entertainment media production, aiming to produce graduates with the characteristics of professional practitioners who adhere to the framework of morality, ethics and Thai identity, and are ready to work both in the labor market and in creating their own jobs.

- Produce graduates with knowledge and professional skills that meet international standards, are ethical and can be social leaders.

- Research and develop new knowledge and integrate knowledge for the benefit of society and the creative industry.

- Provide services and transfer academic knowledge to both government and private sectors and various communities.

- Instill in graduates the concept and values of preserving national arts and culture and promoting their continuation.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

This course provides opportunities for students to select their study plan as either thesis or independent study (IS). Students may select the study approach as appropriate and matching their future career interest. The structure is as follows:

Plan 1: Academic

Plan 1.1:

Thesis: 36 credits

Plan 1.2:

Coursework: 24 credits

Thesis: 12 credits

Plan 2: Professional

Coursework: 30 credits

Independent Study: 6 credits

Each plan requires a total of 36 credits to complete the program.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Applicant Qualifications

Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field specified by the program from a higher education institution in Thailand or abroad and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50 throughout the program.

Details of the application process and student selection for the 1st semester of the 2025 academic year

1. Application process

1.1 Applicants fill out the application form on the website: http://reg.kantana.ac.th/ and can apply to study from April 4, 2025 to July 19, 2025.

1.2 Scan the application documents and evidence of payment of the application fee and send them via email address: [email protected] or submit the application documents and evidence of payment of the application fee in person.

1.3 Applicants will be notified of the result of the application document verification via their email address. Applicants who do not meet all the requirements or submit incomplete documents will not be allowed to take the exam and the institute will not refund the application fee in any case.
