AIHM accepts students who are aged 17.5 years minimum at entry date.


Education

A high-school diploma certified by the Ministry of Education

Thailand applicants : completion of Matthayom 6 required

UK applicants : minimum of two, full A-levels (GCEs) studied and passed after a successful completion of at least six IGCSE-level (O level) or equivalent

US applicants : high-school diploma and IB diploma

GED applicants : minimum 145 points in all four areas

All documents must be translated into English.


Minimum English-language entry requirements

Non-native English speakers, or students who haven’t spent the last three years in full-time English education, will need to submit their English-language exam scores.


TOEFL: 525/70 or above


IELTS: 5.5 average

IELTS has four subcomponents (Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening). Each subcomponent can be 0.5 less than the required average score, but not lower.


Cambridge FCE/CAE: B2 First or above

Possible Career Pathway

The programme aims to prepare students for a range of global management and operational careers in the international tourism and hospitality sectors, and to provide them with the tools to begin their entrepreneurial ventures. Building on operational skills and knowledge, the programme further develops management theories and competencies using a range of teaching and learning processes.

Graduates of AIHM’s Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management can pursue careers in hotel and resort management, event planning, tourism operations, hospitality marketing, food and beverage management, and customer experience roles. With real-world internships and hands-on training, students are well-prepared for leadership positions in international hospitality brands, travel companies, and luxury service industries.

Is a bachelor's degree from AIHM approved by the Ministry of Education in Thailand?

Answer :

The Office of Higher Education has approved the Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management degree programme.

Do you offer diplomas?

Answer :

At this time AIHM only offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management and a 20-week Intensive Hospitality English Language Programme at this time, however additional programmes are planned for the future.

Do I need a TOEFL, IELTS or other English-language qualifications to apply for a bachelor’s degree?

Answer :

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Hospitality Management programme is taught and assessed in English. Do you accept transfers? What is the process for transferring university credits?

Answer :

AIHM recognises certain credits earned at other accredited institutions, and student transfers are welcome. Applications for credits are considered on a case-by-case basis. The admissions department, in conjunction with the Academic Dean, will review and assess credit transfers and entry points.

What is the minimum age to attend AIHM?

Answer :

AIHM accepts students who are aged 17.5 years as a minimum at entry date.

What is the duration of the admissions process?

Answer :

It will take approximately one or two weeks to complete the whole process for domestic students. For international students who have sent completed application files and receipts of all required documents, it will take around two or three weeks to process the application and to send over a letter of acceptance via email. Applicants will be required to make a payment for the first semester before the visa-supporting documents are granted.

How do I apply for courses at AIHM?

Student applications can be submitted through the online application form. Alternatively, students can manually complete an application form and mail it to AIHM’s Bangkok Campus address. Application forms are available for download here and will also be available during our Bangkok Campus tours.

Do I need to apply for a student visa?

Answer :

If you are an international student, you will need to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa ‘ED’ (Education) to live and study in Thailand.

How do I get a student visa?

Answer :

After receiving the official acceptance and visa letter from the Student Exchange Office, you should apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa ‘ED’ (Education) at the nearest Royal Thai Embassy or consulate in your country of origin.
