ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Programme Description

"Animation can explain whatever the mind of man can conceive."

 - Walt Disney

Animation continues to be one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving creative industries worldwide. From its traditional roots in hand-drawn techniques, the field has expanded significantly with advancements in digital tools and production workflows. Today, animation extends far beyond film and television, with wide applications across advertising, games, social media, virtual production, and interactive media.

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Animation is a three-year programme that prepares students for the demands of contemporary animation production. It covers a broad spectrum of methods including digital 2D hand-drawn animation, 2D cut-out techniques, motion graphics, and 3D animation. Students will explore core areas such as storytelling, character development, performance, timing, and visual language, while learning to create engaging animated content across various platforms.

Throughout the programme, students develop both creative and technical skills through hands-on projects using industry-standard software and workflows. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problemsolving, and design for motion. Students will also gain industry exposure through practical assignments and internship opportunities, reinforcing professional practice and enhancing employability. Graduates will be equipped to pursue careers in animation studios, advertising, games, broadcast media, and digital content creation.
