The Master of Biotechnological Innovations and Application is a research-based programme designed to develop innovative approaches to biotechnology research and industry practices. It deepens students’ understanding of both fundamental and applied biotechnology in areas such as agricultural biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, medical biotechnology, and bioinformatics. The flexible programme is suitable for graduates and working professionals interested in advancing their expertise in biotechnology.

- A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Biotechnology or related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, or its equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate; OR A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Biotechnology or related field with at least CGPA of 2.50 and has not achieved CGPA 2.75, or its equivalent can be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Biotechnology or related field but has not achieved CGPA of 2.50, or its equivalent can be accepted subject to a minimum of FIVE (5) years’ working experience in the relevant field. International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent. Note: Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the university and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).
