In 1986, the system separated into three autonomous universities, resulting in the establishment of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology North Bangkok. In 2007, the institution officially became King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and gained autonomous university status.
Today, KMUTNB has developed into a comprehensive technology-focused university offering programs from vocational and undergraduate levels to doctoral degrees.
