Krirk University is one of the most highly-reputed universities in Thailand and was founded in 1952 by Dr. Krirk Mangkhlaphrik. It has been promoting higher education since 1970 and was upgraded to university status in 1995. We have two important colleges i.e., the International College and the Political Communication College, which are known for having English and Chinese language teaching. Krirk University has been actively involved in society to enhance students’ social skills, sense of social responsibility and their contributions to human society. Many faculty members of Krirk University have contributed to the public and private sectors. For example, some researchers have helped surrounding communities to solve social problems, and some lecturers have taken important roles in many organizations. The Alumni of Krirk University have made distinguished contributions in the political, social and education spheres. We have our Alumni such as Dr. Chalermchai Sreeon, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Dr. Kanokwan Vilawan, Deputy Minister of Education; Dr.Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Secretary to the Minister of Office of the Prime Minister; Mr. Sira Jenjaka, Member of Parliament of Bangkok and Mr. Mario Maurer, actor. To promote education with social change, Krirk University has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with a number of education institutions in Thailand as well as China. VISION Krirk University is historic and well- known in English education. The reputation of Krirk University has always been very notable. After taking over as university president, Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse has been committed to taking the university forward. “The Institute of Leadership Development at Krirk University was founded for advocating leadership in all areas,” said Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse.
