About this Program
This dual degree program is jointly offered by Assumption University (Thailand) and National Chi Nan University (Taiwan). Graduates receive a Ph.D. in Business and Economics from Assumption University and a Ph.D. in Strategy and Development in Emerging Industries from National Chi Nan University. Coursework is offered bilingually in Chinese and English, with research conducted in English. Students study in both Bangkok and Taiwan, experiencing two distinct business environments. The program prepares scholars trained in theoretical and methodological approaches in economics combined with business applications.

Requirements
Academic
- Applicants should meet the credentials and submit the materials stipulated as follows when seeking admission into the Program.
- 1. Master's degree from institutions accredited or acknowledged by the Thai Ministry of Education
- 2. GPA of at least 3 on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent for the master's degree
- 3. TOEFL score of at least 580 PBT or 90 iBT, or IELTS score of at least 7.0, with minimum 7.0 in writing, OR a passing score of the Assumption University English Proficiency Standard Test for Graduate Programs. IELTS and TOEFL scores only remain valid for two years. The score certificate must be valid at the point that one completes the submission of all necessary admission materials. The admission requirement is exempted for applicants whose bachelor's or master's degree is conferred by a higher education institution in the countries where the media of instruction is English.
- Applicants who are graduates from overseas Universities will be required to provide at the time of applying and not later, certified, attested, or notarized by competent notaries, all academic documents with the seal or stamp by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education or related department.
- EXEMPTION
- The AU English Proficiency Test can be exempted depending on which of the following conditions you satisfy.
- - a TOEFL score of (iBT) 90 or an IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.5 (Validation: Two years) - a Bachelor's degree or a higher degree from native English speaking countries (e.g. USA, Canada, UK, and New Zealand)
